Choosing a Class

The age recommendations outlined for Kindermusik classes have been carefully constructed to best group children in an age and developmentally appropriate way. Therefore, it is important that your child be at least the minimum age by the start of the semester for the class in which you are enrolling. If you have concerns about your child’s success in a particular age range, I am happy to discuss your child’s needs and to work with you to place him in the class best suited for him. Children under 3 years old need to be accompanied by their parents or a loving caregiver during classes.

Trial Class

You are welcomed to join a trial class. Call us for availability. We are also pleased to schedule demo classes for preschools and playgroups.

Register Early

Although you may join our classes at any time, please register early since class sizes are limited and many fill quickly. Registering at least two weeks before the class begins also ensures that I will have your child’s materials for you at your first class. If you enroll after the class begins, tuition can be pro-rated accordingly.

Make-Up Classes

Classes will be made up in the event of teacher illness, inclement weather. SORRY FOR NO MAKE-UP CLASS FOR STUDENTS SICK LEAVE. For the other leave reasons, you can request a swap with other class sessions provided in the timetable, however, this arrangement is only entitled to leave notification 1 week before the original class commencing, and subject to availability of swapping class sessions, we reserve the rights to process the class swap request and no ad-hoc change request will be catered in any circumstance. I will notify you of the cancellation and the scheduled make-up day.

Bad weather arrangements

If Typhoon Signal No.3 or above is hoisted or Red / Black rainstorm warning is issued 3 hours before class starts, the class will be suspended. There is a normal class in Typhoon signal No.1 and Amber rainstorm warning is in force. Classes will be made up in the event of inclement weather. We will notify you of the cancellation and the scheduled make-up day.

Non-Enrolled Siblings

Due to limited class sizes and the delicacy of the younger class settings, Kindermusik classes can only accommodate non-enrolled siblings when the sibling is young enough to stay contented in a stroller. However, emergency situations are considered; so please call if we can help.

Enrollment Confirmation

Your Online Enrollment and payment must be received before enrollment can be confirmed. You will receive a phone call or WhatsApp within two weeks to confirm your enrollment. First priority will be given to existing enrollees.

Refunds

We regret that we cannot arrange refunds. However, credit vouchers may be given if there are extenuating circumstances requiring withdrawal from class. All refund requests will be considered on an individual basis. The cost of materials and a $50 processing fee are non-refundable.

Making the Most of Kindermusik Classes

Plan to arrive about 5-10 minutes early for class. Arriving a little before class provides time for your child to settle into the musical environment as they prepare to enjoy exploring instruments, reading books, or listening to music. We do request that toys, juice cups, and pacifiers be kept out of sight and that snacks be finished prior to class. Be sure to dress comfortably. During class, the most important thing you can do for your child is to be an active and patient role model. It is not uncommon for a child to attend several classes before feeling comfortable in class. Don’t be discouraged – what a child is absorbing in class is often evidenced in the comfort of the home environment rather than in a certain level of participation in class. The understanding and consistency of the parent or caregiver in class and at home are key to facilitating musical learning and growth. It’s okay if your child is hesitant in the group environment. If your child cannot focus on the present activity – don’t worry, but do actively attempt to help them refocus or quietly engage them in participating in their own way. I love for parents to visit before or after class, but not during class time, please. You and your child will enormously benefit from the Kindermusik experience, especially if you make active use of your At Home Materials. Frequent reinforcement at home throughout the week makes all the difference in a child’s comfort and participation in the classroom.

Barefoot is best for baby. Baby learns much about the world through touch. The skin on the bottom of the feet is especially sensitive, allowing lots of sensory input for baby. All the class facilities will be cleaned as much as practical and feasible in order to maintain a high level of disinfected environment for babies, parents and caregivers. So, please feel free to let your baby barefoot. But please note that adults have to wear socks when playing on the floor mat.

No photo and video taking throughout the session.
